Swain of Boston, Lincs where it was used for contract work including threshing, sawing and forestry work. Purchased in 1960 for £100 by Mr. J. Dawson who found it overgrown with nettles on a riverbank. Its first rally was at Skegness. Purchased by the present owners father P.C.Bath in 1966 and rebuilt by Eastern Boilerworks of Saffron Walden. Re-united with Len Harness aged 89 in May this year (2004), who drove the engine commercially from new. |
