| Further information: |
| Built as a works demonstration vehicle. Very few 8-wheelers were made, and his was the only single drive example constructed. Used mainly to carry bricks. It was sold to Freeguard Brothers Transport and ran under the name of E & O Griffiths in Monmouthshire. It was later sold to Wynns the heavy haulage contractor. During the Second World War the waggon worked with a trailer on daily trips transporting armour plate from the steel mills in South Wales to the Ford’s plant in Dagenham, Essex. Acquired by the late Edgar Shone from London in the 70’s from the scrap yard in Wales, it was extensively restored over a number of years. Owned by R. Hazell & Sons |
