Further information:
New to C. Tassell of Chatham. During the first World War it was used for carrying troops and provisions to Salisbury Plain. Two loaded wagons were hauled. Sold to Scotts Sawmill in 1919 with the two traction trailers, it moved to Kemp Bros. Of Rainham in 1927 and finished its working life in the mid 1950’s with C. Croucher who used it for threshing. The two trailers were converted to living vans and are still existence. Purchased in 1980 by the late S.W.Neville who rallied it extensively both home and abroad until 1993. In 1996 a new boiler, firebox and smokebox were fitted and in 1998 a complete repaint was undertaken to its original specification including gold leaf.
