| Further information: |
| This roller spent all of its working life in Portugal and returned to Britain in 1975. This Roller is one of only nine to survive from forty built of this type. Apparently it's named "Arfur", because its "arf" his and "arf" mine, but it could be a corny word play on Arthur Fowler who was a character from the soap Eastenders (in it his name was pronounced Arfur). The engine has been completely rebuilt by A Garwell and D Pond. |
