Brian gave 24 years of service on the Committee of our Society, with 6 years as Chairman. He will be missed by so many.

A great weekend was had by members and guests at the Annual Dinner and Dance on Saturday 12th November at The Willows, Wyboston Lakes. A morning visit took place to Stotfold Mill by Sentinel Steam Bus, and in the evening a meal was enjoyed by 184 people followed by the giving of the four Society awards.
The Reg Saunders Memorial Shield for a Restoration Project went to The Allen Family for the restoration and boilerwork carried out on their Aveling & Porter Roller "William".
The Richard Benney Cup for Serices to the Society went to Ian Baxter-Pownall (Boss Hog) for his continued support of the Society as Roastmaster for the past 30 years, and in recent times providing catering for the Steam Apprentice Weekend among other things.
The Peter Coulson "Clanger of the Season" award went to Peter Wheeler and Geoff Scott-Coomber.
The "Plug Dropper of the Year" trophy went to Kevin Strawbridge for dropping a plug on the Annual Road Run in June Read more...

The 2012 Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre, at Old Warden Park on 14th, 15th & 16th September 2012 will feature a display of Steam Wagons & Waggons of as many builders as possible. Given the rise in rare wagon restorations in the past few years, there are many more on the rally fields that weren't thought possible 10+ years ago.
We would be interested to hear from wagon/waggon owners that would be interested in taking part, and also from any owners with wagon/waggon trailer/drags from the steam builders.
